December Pop Up Classes

These bonus “Celebrate with Nature” classes are designed to help kids and families connect to nature and weave nature into whatever they celebrate during this special time of year.

This bonus series includes nature-focused lessons centered around gratitude, giving and joy–universal themes during the late fall/holiday season.

Winter “Persistence” Series

This Winter, we focus on persistence— the ability to stick with something, meet challenges and push ahead in order to reach our goals, learn and grow. Each lesson is inspired by a different, persistent animal superhero.

The series lessons follow a steady progression and are organized into three units.

• Unit 1 (Survivors and Thrivers): we introduce creatures with amazing abilities to survive the winter and discover that we, too have tools to help us thrive and play outdoors all 4 seasons.

• Unit 2 (Hard Workers): we get inspiration from creatures who help us focus on effort and repetition.

• Unit 3 (Clever Creators): we play like creatures who build and create— a great tie-in to our Spring Creativity series!
